June 21 is the start of the summer season for Citiparks, and we’ve just received a new information sheet for West Penn. First, starting on June 21, West Penn will have new hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9 am- 8 pm
Thursday: 9 am – 9 pm
Saturday: 10 am – 3 pm
There are some summer programs for kids:
–Ozanam Girls Basketball Program, Saturdays, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, runs from June 12 – July 24
–House of David Sports and Fitness Camp, Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 12:30 pm, runs from June 28 – July 23
–Addison Behavioral Care Day Camp, Monday-Friday 9 am – 4 pm, runs from July 6 – August 13
(for kids 8-15, $150 fee)
–Free Summer Food Program (for kids 18 and under) Monday-Friday, runs from June 21 – August 20
Lunch 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, snack 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
And the pool opens on June 17th! Pool hours are:
Monday-Friday 1 pm – 7:45 pm
Saturday, Sunday, and holidays 1:00 pm – 5:45 pm.
Pool tags will be available for purchase (cash or check) during pool hours. Cost of pool tags for City residents are: $60 – family of four; $10 – each additional family member; $30 – adult (16 years or older); $15 – youth (3 – 15 years old); free – child (2 and younger). For non-City residents the cost is $45 for adult or youth.
Those interested in purchasing daily admission can do so at any pool beginning on June 17. Cost is $3 for children ages 3 – 15 and $4 for individuals 16 and older.
For City residents who are disabled veterans and families of active duty military and activated reservist/guard members, pool tags are available at no cost. Proper ID is required.
