Have you been to the Carnegie Museums in Oakland lately? It’s an easy bus ride direct from Polish Hill — practically door-to-door — the 54 stops right across the street from the museums. If you haven’t gone in a while, now’s the time — in March, you can visit the Carnegie Museum of Art or the Carnegie Museum of Natural History free of charge from 3:30 to 8 p.m. every Thursday evening, thanks to the generosity of the Buncher Family Foundation. (if you drive, though, parking is not free; it’s $5 per car after 5 p.m.)
There’s a lot to see in those two museum, so you might need two trips. To see what’s going on, check the Carnegie Museums website for exhibitions information.
