Our neighborhood is peaceful and scenic, and numerous artists have found Polish Hill a great subject for their work. Elizabeth Perry has done some wonderful little drawings showing the dome of the church as glimpsed in gaps between buildings. She says, “The Immaculate Heart of Mary dome is visible wherever you go in the neighborhood of Polish Hill. I’ve drawn it before, and I expect I’ll return to it again. I’m fascinated by the way it appears and reappears in the gaps between buildings, in the sudden and unexpected spaces of the landscape.”
