Carnegie International curators announced

It’ s never too early to start planning, especially when what you are planning is something with the scope of  The Carnegie International. The 56th Carnegie International, scheduled for 2013, is one of two long-running exhibits of its type in the world.

The curators for the next International were announced today. We would like to extend our congratulations to Polish Hill neighbor, Dan Byers, who was selected as part of the team. Byers is the associate curator of contemporary art at Carnegie Museum of Art, a position he has held since 2009. Mr. Byers has curated several exhibits at the Carnegie Museum in his role as associate curator. He is currently organizing Ordinary Madness, opening October 15, an exhibition that includes more than 100 works from the museum’s collection.

Daniel Baumann and Tina Kukielski are the other two members of the curatorial team. The Carnegie Museum has provided biographical information on their site.
