Residents may remember Ben Paul, who came to our April community meeting to talk about his project Communiteach. This project is about connecting people with skills with people who want to learn those skills. These classes are free, and they take place in sites in the communities. We suggested to Ben that West Penn would be the ideal place for Communiteach classes in Polish Hill.
The first Polish Hill CommuniTeach, “Mat Picture Framing for Dummies,” is scheduled for Saturday, June 12, 2010, 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm, at the West Penn Recreation Center (Senior Center room). The class will be taught by Polish Hill resident Suzanne Pyle.
From the class description provided by Ben Paul of CommuniTeach: Construct an elegant framed picture. We’ll provide the matting equipment and frames, you provide the thing you want to frame! Photos, artwork, whatever you want to bring is fair game. If you want to use your own frame, feel free to bring that.
The class is free, but you must RSVP here. For more information, email Ben Paul: ben@communiteach.com or call him at (412) 589-9123.
Great post, Leslie! Thanks a bunch.
