Friends of the Pittsburgh Urban Forest are having an interesting-sounding benefit right outside our borders on Friday evening. The Arbor Aid event will be held on the 6th Floor of Guardian Storage (that’s an event space) at 2839 Liberty Avenue in the Strip District on Friday October 30th, from 7-11pm.
The event features musical performances by Life in Balance and The Turpentiners; artwork created from salvaged wood by 30 artists; and food and libations by Dozen Cupcakes, East End Brewing Company, Rob Baron of the East End Food Co-op, Kate Romane, Six Penn Kitchen, Tazza D’oro, & Whole Foods Market.
Tickets are $25, and $30 the day of the event. Certified Tree Tenders (there are over 600 of them in Pittsburgh!) pay a special ticket price of just $20.
