So much happening over the next week for all of the cyclists here in Pittsburgh. Even with our sometimes-daunting hills, Polish Hill has its cycling proponents. As anyone could tell from the crowded bicycle parking stand on Dobson and Hancock!

BikeFest is on its way, and it’s time to get ready for one of the best parties of the year – BikePGH’s BikeFest Kickoff Fundraiser Party!
Friday, August 6, 2010. Our largest party of the year kicks off BikeFest in style, and raises funds to support BikePGH’s advocacy efforts.

There’s a lot of information on the Bike Pgh website about the pre-Party, the party-Party and the after-Party. Check into their site to find out about the food and entertainment, as well as ticket information.
But wait! there’s more!
This is more than just a one night fundraising event. BikeFest will be spanning the next five days with cycling events all over Pittsburgh From August 6-15, you, the Pittsburgh cyclist will be able to participate in rides and races in scenic neighborhoods. There are easy rides (The Sunday Seersucker Saunter Spectacular), and rides better suited for the seasoned cyclist (12 Bridges, 3 Rivers, 21 Miles).
