Friday October 28 is Tree Pittsburgh's 4th Annual Arbor Aid

Tree Pittsburgh is excited to announce its 4th annual fundraising event, Arbor Aid 2011.  Featuring art created from salvaged wood,  Arbor Aid celebrates trees as a living resource, daily providing benefits to city residents, and encourages creativity in thinking about extending their useful lives as furniture, flooring, artwork, and beyond.

Arbor Aid 2011 features artwork by more than 40 local artists and woodworkers.  There will be a farm-to-table meal at handmade tables, catered by E2 (E Squared) at 7pm,  followed by a general admission party at 9pm.  All proceeds benefit Tree Pittsburgh, an environmental non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the City’s vitality by restoring and protecting City trees.

Arbor Aid is on Friday October 28th 7pm-12 midnight on the 6th floor of the historic Guardian Storage Building at 2839 Liberty Avenue.

7pm: Dinner in the Forest
Enjoy the artwork early while sipping Boyd and Blair cocktails fashioned by local bartendress of note, Maggie Meskey. Then take a seat at handmade tables and feast upon local foods prepared by Kate Romane of E2 with background music by Life in Balance.
Tables will be available for purchase.

9pm: The party begins!
Come early and have your portrait delicately cut into a pressed leaf, visit the Hug a Tree photo booth, and enjoy acoustic duo Pairdown and Americana folk punk from The Armadillos. Food and libations from local favorites provided.

Tickets: $25 for Tree Tenders, $30 pre-purchase, $35 at the door.  A limited number of tickets for Dinner in the Forest available, $130.  Tickets available at www.treepittsburgh.org/arboraid or by calling 412-362-6360.
