It was an odd spring, and now it’s over: this is the summer solstice and the first day of summer. Today is the longest day of the year (in the Northern Hemisphere, that is). What are you going to do with this long, light evening? We suggest a cookout, or at least a really good meal with friends and family. We’re trying not to think about how it’s also the peak before the long, slow slide towards the dark, cold days of winter. Appreciate the light and warmth while we have it, and happy Solstice!
