Light Up the Street Night in Polish Hill

Friday was Polish Hill’s Light Up the Street Night, and the tree at the monument was lit up for the season, businesses in the center of the neighborhood were open, and the PHCA had an open house.  Residents circulated between places, sampling treats and visiting.  The new monument committee did a great job with the tree, choosing a blue and silver color theme and adding additional decorations around the monument area.

At the PHCA office, Santa was in residence and kids (and not-kids) could get their photos taken with him.  Since we didn’t ask any parents for permission, we won’t post kid photos, but here is Santa and his lovely assistant.

Thanks to everyone who came out for the evening, and thanks to all the businesses that stayed open and had something nice for visitors.  We also want to thank those who contributed their time or resources.  Our appreciation goes out to Jaime Tully, to Myra Falisz for taking the Santa photos, Josie Ramsey for roving photography, and to King of the Hill Beverage Center for their generous donation of treats for the kids.  It was a great start to the holiday season!
