Neighbors in the Strip (NITS), in partnership with talented photographers from all around Western PA, are seeking “The Spirit of the Strip.”   The third annual Spirit of the Strip PhotoWalk  will be held in the Strip on Saturday, May 16, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.  This year the focus will be “Behind the Strip” – discovering the hidden secrets of the Strip that are not known to the general public.

The Spirit of the Strip-Behind the Strip PhotoWalk will begin with a breakfast for the photographers at Pamela’s P&G Diner in the Strip.  After breakfast the photographers will disperse through the Strip to pursue their vision of what the Strip District is all about.  On June 4, 2009 an exhibit of the photographs will be held at Guardian Storage Solutions brand new facility at 2839 Liberty Avenue in the Strip.  A panel of judges will select the image that best reflects The Spirit of the Strip.  Those who attend the exhibit will be asked to vote on their favorite photograph for “The People’s Choice” Award.
