Polish Hill Arts Festival: artist preview

Here at the PHCA we’re gearing up for the arts festival, which is on Sunday, July 18th ( just a little over two weeks away!).  We wanted to show you some of the artists who are participating in the festival this year.  Above, the work of Nathan Mould, who’s selling graphic t-shirts and paintings.  Nathan also designed the poster and cards for the Free4All music festival, which takes place in Polish Hill the same weekend as the arts festival.

A selection of work by Andy Scott, a painter and cartoonist.  Andy also has a really cool blog.  He’ll bring cards, small books, and paintings.

Ceramics by Garick Tai-Lee, of Three Rivers Pottery.  Garick is a Polish Hill resident who showed his work at last year’s festival.

Painting on glass by Joseph Holtz.  Not many artists work in this medium, and Joe’s work is very distinctive.  Joe has shown at the festival every year.  Urban Gypsy, the new Polish Hill gift shop, also carries his work.

A watercolor view of Dobson Street, looking towards the church, by Yelena Lamm (another returning artist).  Yelena will bring portraits, still lifes, and city views to the festival.

A necklace by Lisa Parker, of On the Rocks Designs.  Her work is highly original, and completely handcrafted.  Lisa is another artist who has shown with us since the festival started.

There are so many more interesting artists and crafts people coming to the festival!  We’ll be featuring more of them, and other festival attractions, in upcoming posts.  Stay tuned, and mark your calendars for Sunday, July 18th!
