This event is the first ever comedy tour featuring Polish/American comics. These national headlining comics have been on the top radio and news stations in the country from Howard Stern to Bob and Tom to CNN.
“Three Poles Walk into A Bar Comedy Tour,” will be caught on tape says Bob “The Polish Madman” Golub, the comedic brains behind the unprecedented, nationwide tour, who plans to film along the way.
“There’s never been anything like this,” adds Golub about the first-of-its-kind event, which kicked off a nation-wide tour starting off on April 11th, and l2th at the Erie Playhouse in Erie, PA and will dramatically conclude in Poland. Three Poles tour will perform at the Improv Comedy Club in Pittsburgh June 26th through 29th.
A seasoned stand up comic who uses his Polish heritage as the core of his act, Golub is one of the tours top performers featuring nationally recognized, Polish/ American comics including:
Bob “The Polish Madman” Golub – Tonight Show Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas – HBO
Bill Rutkoski – MTV – Arrested Development and Two and a Half Men.
Dave Kaye – Comedy Central
Best known for his memorable cameo appearance in Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas,” Golub has an impressive track record in documentary film having produced, directed, starred in, narrated, and assembled the hard-hitting, faced- paced award winning documentary entitled “Dodo” the nickname for his father. The film was well received and critically acclaimed. “Riveting” wrote Variety.
“Documenting the Three Poles Walk Into A Comedy Tour is the next logical step in capturing the Polish/American experience by finally showcasing the real deal,” says Golub.
“Not to document this hysterical, if not historical event would be a crime against comedy!” says Golub. “With no shortage of material on stage and off, it’s too funny a premise to pass up.”
