All City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, state and federal government offices and courts will be closed Thursday for Veterans Day.
Post offices will be closed, with no regular pickup or mail delivery. State liquor stores will be open. Banks will be closed, with in-store branches of Citizens Bank open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Garbage will be picked up on a normal schedule.
The Port Authority will run regular bus and T service. The Downtown service center will be closed. Buses will be detoured at 9 a.m. in Downtown Pittsburgh and McKeesport for parades.
The Pittsburgh parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Civic Arena and continues on Centre Avenue to Fifth Avenue to Wood Street to the Boulevard of the Allies to Commonwealth Place. The McKeesport parade starts at 11 a.m. on Fifth Avenue.
Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland will have free admission from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.
