This spring and summer, the PHCA has been connecting gardeners to share plants across the neighborhood.  Those with too much of something — hostas, lillies, irises — dug them up and brought them over, we put out the word, and gardeners who needed plants came and picked them up.  The plant exchange is mostly done now, but here’s a chance to learn more.

There’s a trick to transplanting perennials — they need some care.  Terry Doloughty will lead a free one-hour Communiteach class on Saturday, August 6, from 2-3 pm outside the PHCA office at 3060 Brereton Street.   Bring a plastic pot with you, some samples will be available.  As mentioned, the class is free, but you should register here.
