It was a lovely day to plant flowers. Sunny, warm, not too humid…

Our erstwhile volunteers were out at 8:00 this morning, bright-eyed and ready to go. The flowers look wonderful in their tender stage. Last year, the beds filled in very nicely as the spring wore into summer. This year, the beds should be even more spectacular.

Of course, there is always time for a bit of silliness, proving that gardening is not always hard work or at least shouldn’t be!
