These photos were taken less than a week ago, but warm sunny days already seem so distant. The sunflowers are dried and bowed, and a couple of large pumpkins peek out of the vines and dead leaves.
These are the final days to harvest…the tomatoes have almost given up, the peppers are long gone, and several people have already cleared their plots. Pretty soon, nothing but the cabbages will be producing. Then we have the long, cold winter to think about what to plant next year.
