TreeVitalize Pittsburgh has approved Polish Hill Civic Association’s application for the Fall 2008 planting season! How absolutely wonderful; great work PHCA Board!

Want to be a part of this exciting process as we green Polish Hill?

The tree planting day will be November 15th, from 9-2pm.  We’ll include breakfast and pizza for lunch as well.  We will be setting up at 8am if anyone wants to come early and drink coffee.

Fourteen trees will be planted by a City contractor on Brereton, Hancock & Dobson the week before our planting day.  We will be responsible for planting 18 trees on Melwood & Bethoven Street.  Our meeting hub will be in the vacant lot on the corner of Melwood and Finland at 9am.  We will also be mulching the trees on Brereton and Hancock after we’ve planted the trees on Melwood & Bethoven Street.
