Calling all Tree Tenders, FPUF members,
partners and tree lovers!
Join FPUF staff and Board Members at the City Council meeting next week to let Council members know that you care about trees and our public green spaces.
When: Tuesday, December 2nd at 10am-12pm (typical meeting schedule)
Where: Council Chambers, 5th Floor City-County Building on Grant Street
Why: Council is deliberating for next year’s budget,and as the budget stands, the Forestry Division is not slated to receive a budget increase. In addition, we want Council to know how meaningful the Urban Forester position is to our tree planting and tree care efforts. This position must be secure!
If you would like to speak at the meeting, please call Danielle to discuss. Everyone has the right to speak for three minutes. Even if you can only come in for a short time, we would appreciate your support. If you are a Tree Tender, please wear your shirt!
