The Permaculture Working Group was last in Polish Hill in mid-July for a tour of the West Penn woods, led by the PHCA’s own Terry Doloughty (pictured).  The tour was so well received that they are back, this time indoors, to talk about growing things.

All interested parties are invited to the fourth meeting of the Permaculture Working Group on Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 pm at the West Penn Recreation Center Senior Room (470 30th St. on Polish Hill). On the program:

  • Introduction to the permablitz concept and creating a Pittsburgh version. (See Melbourne’s group and California’s Grow Food Party Crew for inspiration)
  • Isaac presenting his West Virginia farm and greenhouse properties for design input
  • Designing a pergola project for Troy’s home in Point Breeze
  • Action! Making seed balls for PASA’s Urban Farm Bike Tour the next day
