Did you know that the southern border of Polish Hill isn’t Bigelow Boulevard, but two blocks up the hill, on Ridgway Street? If you haven’t been up there, it’s worth a walk — it looks much the same today as it did on July 11, 1910, when these photos were taken.
The house on the left in the photo above, with the fancy porch, is still there.
At least, it looks like the same house.
And the views from this street are amazing — the highest views in Polish Hill.
