Historic designation for Pittsburgh Brewing

Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of conversation, articles and advocacy to raise awareness of the plans for the Pittsburgh Brewing Co. site. The company has produced local favorite, Iron City Beer, since 1861. The Historic Review Commission of Pittsburgh is meeting on Wednesday, December 2. One of the items on their agenda is a request from the Lawrenceville Stakeholders for a preliminary determination of the eligibility of Iron City Brewery’s buildings for historic designation. The full agenda for the meeting is available here.

This meeting is open to the public. Please contact Katherine Molnar at 412-255-2243 with questions or comments.
