Doug Weaver, a Polish Hill resident, husband father and firefighter, was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is currently hospitalized.  The Central Blood Bank is having a blood drive for Doug  on Monday, April 27, from 1-7pm at  Pittsburgh Fire Station #4, 1324 Forbes Ave in Uptown (near Duquesne University).   Doug is blood type B+, but they will be collecting all blood types that day and will swap for his type as needed.
