Have you made a birdhouse yet?

There’s still plenty of time to make a birdhouse to decorate the community tree at Brereton and Dobson Streets!

The monument committee will be redecorating the tree for spring on Sunday, March 18, and bird houses will be a big part of the theme.  We’re currently running a contest for the best bird house, and you can enter as often as you like.  Buy or make a small birdhouse (no larger than 12″ high) and decorate it (with outdoor use in mind, of course).

Deliver the birdhouse(s) to the PHCA office by March 10.  There will be three cash prizes:  $25 – 1st prize; $15 – 2nd prize; $7 – 3rd prize.  There will also be a children’s category, up to age 11, and the winner will receive two passes to the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.  Bird houses will be judged by the PHCA Monument Committee.  Winners will be announced at the community meeting on April 3rd and on Blogski.
