If there were a pilot program in Pittsburgh to have “Step Deputies” who would help to clear the city steps would you volunteer? Picture this:  a locked salt box is located at the various Polish Hill staircasess. You are walking down the staircase on your way to work. Just two extra minutes and you could salt a path on the staircase, maybe preventing an accident.
