At the October community meeting, PWSA representatives and Chester Engineering told Polish Hill residents that construction on the Dobson Street water line should be finished by the end of the year. As that deadline approached, residents began asking if we knew of the end date. We just received a quick update from Melissa Rubin of PWSA. Here’s what she said:
“The contractors were off Friday and Monday for the Holiday. Due to homeowner requests we moved some of the larger equipment to increase street parking for the Holiday weekend. The contractor has 4 catch basins and a manhole to install next week. Temporary paving will be in place by the end of January. Final paving is scheduled for spring.”
So there you have it. Looks like they’re going a bit over schedule; let’s hope the weather cooperates and the street will be back open soon.
