Farmers markets closest to Polish Hill

We don’t have a  farmers market of our own, but there are a few markets convenient to Polish Hill residents.  In the Strip on Saturdays from 9-1, is Farmers at the Firehouse, next the the Firehouse Lounge on Penn Avenue at 22nd St.  This is an independent mostly-organic farmers market, selling fruits and vegetables, herb plants, and some prepared foods like bread, smoked fish, cheese, and more.  Many of these vendors provide free samples of their wares.  Check their website to find out what’s fresh this week!

There are a number of CityParks farmers markets; one  is on Thursdays in Bloomfield in the Immaculate Conception School parking lot at
Cedarville Street & Friendship Avenue.  And the 54C from Polish Hill stops directly next to the North Side farmers market, in Fridays in East Park at East Ohio Street & Cedar Avenue.

There are other CityParks farmers markets in East Liberty, South Side, Carrick, Beechview, and downtown Pittsburgh–click here for more information.
