Rejoicing could be heard from all quarters on Polish Hill last night when the Penguins took the Stanley Cup. Staffski was roused from her couch to peer off the balcony when distant shouts alerted her to revelry along Brereton and in the Strip District. Horns were honked, and the unmistakable sound of metal pans drummed with metal spoons accompanied the many-throated shouts of her Polish Hill neighbors.
So it is with bleary-eyed good humor that Staffski tips her hat to Our Champions, the Pittsburgh Penguins. Well done, gentlemen, and congratulations. You have returned the title of City of Champions to its rightful place.
