Bike Pittsburgh is an advocacy organization whose mission “is to establish Pittsburgh as a city that is increasingly safe, accessible, and friendly to bicycle transportation.” BikePgh has moved their office to 3410 Penn Ave, in the lovely renovated Art Deco-style building that was known as the Turner Detective Agency for so many years. We’re excited to have this super-cool organization so close by.
As a nonprofit, BikePgh doesn’t have a lot to spend on office furniture. They have some specific needs and we figured we’d put the word out there. They need folding tables that can be configured into a conference table big enough for 12 people; 12 stackable chairs; and 2 or 3 metal shelves for the basement storage area.
If you have any of these items in good shape to donate, email Scott Bricker at BikePgh.
Coming soon: the 2010 edition of the BikePGH bike map of Pittsburgh. First issued two years ago, the map is a beautifully designed and illustrated guide to the paths and perils of the city. Even if you don’t ride a bike, it’s a great thing to have. The PHCA will have copies available at the office and we’ll post here when they come in.
