All the stores seemed to go into Christmas mode right after Halloween. But at the PHCA, we decided to wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate the office for the holidays. We thought that it would be nice to have some real fir garlands, and traditional Polish paper ornaments.
Paper ornaments don’t seem that difficult to make. The simplest is the chain, of course. There are flower shapes, and balls, and the Polish star, also called a porcupine ball. Some searching brought up images, but not many directions for making ornaments.
Straw ornaments are also traditional. Here are instructions for making them.
