In honor of Earth Day, Global Links, whose motto is “Sharing surplus, saving lives”, will be accepting crutches, canes, and wheelchairs for donation to Haiti.  Items can be donated at sites throughout Allegheny County.  Upcoming drop-off dates and locations are:

Saturday April 17th    The Children’s Museum lobby, 10-5
Saturday April 24th    North Park and South Park skating rink parking lots, 10-2
Sunday April 25th       Sacred Heart Church Convent, 6225 Walnut St, Shadyside, 9-5

Items may also be dropped off all month at a number of locations.  Closet to Polish Hill are the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in Shadyside and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in Duquesne.  Check here for a full list of drop-off sites, dates and times.
