There will be a Community Wide Public Safety on Tuesday Oct. 13, 2009, 6pm at the Teamsters hall on Butler St. All the zone commanders, representatives from the Fire Dept., including EMT’s and the chiefs will be in attendance.

More details about guest speakers and other specifics about the meeting will be released and we will update this post as information becomes available.

Update:

The City-Wide Public Safety Meeting, hosted by Zone 4 and Zone 5, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13th: 6PM – 9PM at the Teamster’s Temple (4701 Butler Street in Lawrenceville).

Topics to be discussed include:

– Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and Director Michael Huss will make introductory remarks.

– Asst. Chief Regina McDonald, Pittsburgh Police, and Peggy Harris, Director of Three Rivers Youth, will speak on the Youth Curfew Center.

– Jay Gilmer, PIRC Coordinator, will speak on the Pittsburgh Initiative to Reduce Crime (PIRC).

– Heads of Public Safety Departments will speak on how they handle requests for service, what information they need when requests are made, general timelines for completion, etc.

Food will be provided.
