Repair assistance for low-income homeowners

If you meet three qualifications, you are eligible to apply for free home repair assistance from the Pittsburgh Project’s Home Repair Ministry:

  1. You must own your home and live in it.
  2. You must live in the City of Pittsburgh or in certain neighboring boroughs.
  3. You must document that your household’s income was at or below 150 percent of the 2008 Federal Poverty Guidelines for the previous 12 months.

Among the applicants who meet these requirements, priority is assigned to candidates who exhibit poor health due to disability or illness, and/or are age 60 and older.  The organization is not able to help everyone who applies.

You may submit your application at any time.  However, any applications received after February 28 will be reviewed between October and February, for consideration the following summer.  For more information, call the Pittsburgh Project at 412.321.1678.
