Upcoming Port Authority stop consolidation will have only a slight effect on Polish Hill

More than 70 Port Authority bus routes will see changes effective Sunday, June 16.  Schedules for nearly 45 bus routes will be adjusted starting that day.  Along with regular quarterly routing and scheduling adjustments, Port Authority will also begin the first of several phases of bus stop consolidations. Nearly 430 stops across 36 bus routes will be eliminated effective June 16. The stops chosen for elimination are ones that see little to no use.

The only bus stop removals in Polish Hill are two little-used bus stops on Bigelow Boulevard, which are slated to be removed on June 16th.  They are the route 77 stops at Bigelow Boulevard at Frank Curto Park and Bigelow at the 30th Street Steps.  You can read more about this stop consolidation on the PAT website.

Details on the service changes and links to new schedules are now posted at www.portauthority.org under “Service Changes.” Paper schedules will be available prior to the changes.
