Trees need watering, too

For those of you who have young street trees that were planted in the last three years, we bring you this reminder from Tree Pittsburgh:

“Young trees need at least 25 gallons of water each week to establish and survive. So set your hose on low and let your trees get a good drink… or fill a five gallon bucket with holes in the bottom and sit it next to your tree a few times.. or use a fancy gator bag [pictured above] to water.. but be sure to water your trees!”
