There was a little more than the usual excitement at the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern on Thursday October 16. A small fire broke out in the apartment over the tavern, a fixture in Bloomfield. The tavern’s patrons were evacuated without injury. Fir officials estimate the damage at $20,000.
