Yes, this is a month in advance, but we hope that posting now will get this on your radar, and hopefully on your calendar. Over the winter there are few opportunities to volunteer in our neighborhood; but when the weather starts to warm up, the neighborhood clean-ups start. The first neighborhood clean-up this year coincides with Earth Day and with Pittsburgh’s Redd-up day. We hope that you will join us on Saturday, April 9. We’ll meet up at the PHCA office at 10:00 a.m. and then split up into teams and tackle a winter’s worth of trash.
If you’re new to the neighborhood and want to get out and get to know your neighbors, this is a great opportunity. And it’s just really satisfying to see how nice the neighborhood entrances and byways look after we’ve removed many bags of trash and recyclables!
