Pittsburgh Cares volunteers make big improvements to a small green space

On Friday, 20 Pittsburgh Cares volunteers came to Polish Hill to work on a green space at the corner of Melwood Avenue and Finland Street.  The volunteers, employees of Deloitte (a company that offers professional services such as audit, tax, consulting, enterprise risk and financial advice), arrived at 9 am, and worked until 3 pm in the small park.

PHCA Green Team volunteer Terry Doloughty coordinated with Pittsburgh Cares on the volunteer day and oversaw the work at the green space.  Their efforts included trimming trees, clearing plants and debris from the storm drain along Finland Street and planting more lillies and roses.  This little park is much improved!

Many thanks to Terry and the Deloitte volunteers for spending several hours making this corner of Polish Hill more beautiful!
