Although Citiparks hasn’t yet decided exactly when the West Penn pool closes, we have been told that we are not one of the lucky few pools that stay open through Labor Day.  Our informant at Citiparks was only able to assure us that the pool will be open through this week–that’s not long.  She told us that the pool closing dates will be reported in the Post-Gazette (she didn’t know what section) just a few days before the sad event.  So get in those last visits to the pool now.  You’ll want lots of hot, sunny, splash-filled sense-memories to access during what is predicted to be a long, harsh winter.
